About This Role
About Cruq AI
Cruq AI is production infrastructure for AI agents. We help enterprises put agents to work on their most critical workflows, from support queues to sensors and fleets, running on their own models and their own data, fully governed. Supported by Google for Startups, Microsoft for Startups, Claude for Startups, NVIDIA Inception and ElevenLabs Grants, we help teams move AI agents from demo to real-world operations.
About the Role Enterprises everywhere are experimenting with AI agents, but very few have them running reliably in production. Cruq AI closes that gap.
We're looking for an Enterprise Business Development Representative to build qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting into target enterprise accounts. You'll work closely with our founders and sales team to start conversations with the people building and buying AI solutions, own account research and outreach, and hand off qualified opportunities with clear context and an agreed next step.
What you'll do
- Research target accounts, their AI initiatives and current tools, and identify the right contacts across AI, engineering, IT, operations and customer support leadership.
- Prospect through cold calls, personalised email and LinkedIn, connecting each stakeholder's priorities to Cruq's value: production-ready agents, data ownership, governance, cost visibility and white-label options.
- Run initial discovery to understand the use case, current approach, challenges and timing, then secure a next step with our sales team.
- Keep CRM records accurate and provide clean handoffs with stakeholder details, qualification notes and next steps.
- Nurture accounts that aren't ready yet, and re-engage them when timing or priorities change.
- Help test and improve our targeting, messaging and outreach sequences, using prospecting tools and AI effectively while keeping outreach relevant and accurate.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years in an outbound BDR, SDR or similar sales development role at a B2B technology company.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline targets, with examples of accounts you opened yourself.
- Experience prospecting into enterprise accounts and confidently engaging technical stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
- Strong communication: concise emails, confident cold calls and sharp discovery questions.
- Genuine curiosity about AI and the ability to learn a technical product and explain its value. You don't need to be an engineer.
- Strong organisation, follow-through and experience with a CRM and prospecting tools.
- The ability to work independently, take feedback and help shape an early-stage sales playbook.
Nice to have
- Experience selling AI, developer tools, cloud, data infrastructure or API products.
- Familiarity with the LLM ecosystem, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and open-source models.
- Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
- Experience selling usage-based or SaaS products.
